Ciara Is One Smokin' Grandmilf in Hot Pants!

Twentysomething R&B sensation Ciara showed up to a fundraiser for the TXT L8TR campaign sporting this kinda creepy hot-grandma outfit. Great for a night at the bingo parlor, but maybe not for West Hollywood hot spot Nobu, right?

So which aspect of her beet-red ensemble ages her the most: the bizarro silk bow that's more costumey than sexy? Those high-waisted pants that are bunchy in all the wrong places? Or is it the footwear choice, all shiny, witchy and pointy?

To her credit, at least she wore some serious color to the 'do, a welcome contrast to all those dour young things in black dresses. Go, granny, go!

Eclipse Recast: Twilight's Best. Move. Ever.

Bryce Dallas Howard is going to save the Twilight Saga.

We don't care if Summit is a mean studio that unfairly canned Rachelle Lefevre, or if Lefevre is a contract-breaking actress who was rightly cut by Summit. The lawyers can sort out the definitions. And Answer B!tch can walk you through why recasts, in general, don't ruin movie series.
The bottom line is Lefevre's out, Howard's in, and we can Count Dracula all the way up to five when it comes to why the move will enliven the undead franchise.

1. Howard's got more cred than the anybody else in the critically maligned Twilight cast.
And we don't mean because Howard survived working with a misanthropic Danish director who makes movies for people who hate movies. (Although that does show spunk.) No, we mean because she's psychic. You know how in Twilight, Ashley Greene says she's a psychic? Howard is a psychic.

2. Make that, way more vampire cred.
You know how in Twilight, Robert Pattinson says he's a vegetarian? Howard is a vegetarian.
And boom goes the dynamite again.
And, by the way, yes, we know, Victoria, the character Howard will be playing in Eclipse, is no fan of the Veggie Lover's Pizza. But that just means Howard won't have to do too much inner work to find the motivation to take a bite out of Kristen Stewart's Bella. The woman will be hungry.

3. Her hair is super red.
Granted, this seems more like a statement of obvious fact than an argument, but it's both. Twilight was as deary-looking as a faded, old flannel shirt. If Lefevre was supposed to supply the color boost, then her reddish-strawberry blonde locks didn't do it. Howard, on the other styling hand, could use her alarmingly bright mane to help fog-bedeviled pilots land safely at any Northwest airport. Or to light a fire under (or on) her all-angst, no-fun costars.

4. Pattinson and Stewart can take five.
Could our Twilight lovers have looked any more miserable at Comic-Con? Could they be any happier that Howard has been sucked into the fanggirl vortex, and, for at least a few days, obscured all other doings in the Twilight zone?
Will they finally lighten up, and enjoy the ride?
Well, all right, let's not go crazy…
Still, even if the Howard story gives Pattinson and Stewart just five minutes of rest and relaxation, then that's five more minutes than the couple has had in the last eight months. And happy and relaxed stars can go a long way in making for happy and relaxed movie sets. And while this is not to say that tense movie sets don't produce great movies, too, we think if Pattinson and Stewart get any more glum, the Twilight vampires will have a hard time keeping their trademark sparkle.

5. The rest of your cast is locked in, but good.
You think another Twilight undercard actor is going to pull the slightest negotiating ploy after Levefre's quick knockout? You think you're going to have to endure about another recast? You think fans are ever going to stop debating this recast?

Just Cavalli: Resort 2010

Just Cavalli's nominal safari theme was justification enough for the use of the house's signature animal prints. For Resort, a zebra pattern was worked up into daywear and evening gowns that will ring up for under $1,000. The only surprise here came from an anomalous navy shirtdress that was surprisingly office-friendly. But the fact that this collection toes the party line should appeal to main-label Cavalli lovers who are watching the bottom line.

Balenciaga: new collection

Resort is a season in which designers tend to scale back their creative vision in favor of surefire sales, but that wasn't Nicolas Ghesquière's approach for his latest Balenciaga effort. His experiments with volume—as on a series of printed and embroidered frocks with super-short tiered lampshade skirts—were more daring than anything else we've seen during the current round of shows and presentations. Ditto his chunkily woven leather sandal boots.

Still, there was plenty here that was time-tested. A pearl- and crystal-embroidered Cristobal Balenciaga Edition jacket circa 1965 "still looks right now," Ghesquière said. Remarkably, so did a long black net and velvet dot evening coat that Balenciaga originally made in 1959. Other pieces shown today, like a pantsuit in rustic, nubby linen, have no progenitor, but their very Ghesquière-ness—the slim fit of the jacket, the leg-elongating trouser—should ensure their success.

Sexy Summer Hair Made Easier

Flirty Fishtail Braid

This is the perfect style to rock if you're hanging out by the shore, since the salty air will give your strands great texture for braiding, says Gorman. If you're not near the beach, you can fake that texture by misting a sea-salt spray through damp strands (a good one: David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray, $9.95) and letting hair air-dry. Then do a fishtail braid: Divide your hair in half, and hold the left side in your left hand and right side in your right hand. Pull a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the right side and add it to the inside of the left side. Repeat with a piece from the outside of the left side, adding it to the inside of the right side. Continue adding half-inch pieces down to your ends, and secure with an elastic. Position the braid over your shoulder, then tug out a few pieces around your face for a breezy effect (or just let the wind do its thing).

Lindsay Lohan Gets Real

Since Lindsay and Ryan Seacrest just announced that they're teaming up to do a reality show, we figured the least we could do is give them some suggestions for what kind of show it should be.

Title: The Amazingly Unsafe Race
Concept:
The premise is simple — the contestants need to beat Lindsay from one end of Los Angeles to the other. Lindsay, however, is armed with a fast sports car, a case of Red Bull, and a cell phone. In other words, she'll be more of a threat to the city of Los Angeles than a bunch of killer robots from outer space.

Title: Survivor: Paparazzi Island
Concept:
Lindsay brings a group of her, uh, favorite paparazzi to a remote Pacific island, and then has them compete in challenges to see who can eat the most crushed flashbulbs, or who can get the best close-up of a hungry shark. The losers are left stranded on the island for all eternity, but the lucky winner is...also left stranded on the island for all eternity.

Title: Lindsay & Sam Plus 8,000,000
Concept:
They may not have an army of rug rats like Jon and Kate, but Lindsay and Samantha Ronson's on-again, off-again romantic entanglement has earned them an army of fascinated followers. Since those two can't seem to make it work, all of their fans can now try to fix their relationship by voting on their actions. Should Sam really open the door to Lindsay at 3 a.m.? You decide!

Title: Big Sister
Concept:
Lindsay's little sis, Ali, wants to be a star — and who better to guide her along that road than Lindsay? Via hidden cameras, the show follows the pair as Lindsay accompanies Ali on all of the adventures aspiring starlets have: going to auditions, fighting off gross old dudes who claim that they're "producers," and, of course, drumming up publicity for their reality show.

Title: American Idle
Concept:
Lindsay snacks on tortilla chips while reading Us Weekly, and Seacrest periodically congratulates her for it.

Vivienne Westwood

Kate Winslet has hotly denied recent rumors that she'll play Vivienne Westwood in an upcoming biopic. To which we say, are you kidding? What actress would turn down the opportunity to play one of fashion's most intriguing characters? Just think of the costume changes…

Yes, there'd be the dreary schoolteacher garb to start, but then came Westwood's peroxide provocateur phase, in which she played partner-in-crime to Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren and the model for ripped-and-safety-pinned T-shirt-wearing punks everywhere. In the eighties, the designer was her own best advertisement for the mini crinis and reconstructed eighteenth-century garb she put on the Paris runway. Cut to 1993, when Naomi Campbell took her infamous catwalk spill in Westwood's ten-inch platforms; we'd like to see Winslet give those a try. Fast-forward to today—when fashion's great crusader isn't sporting tiny horns in her dyed orange locks, she's wearing a headband that reads "branded" and proselytizing an anti-consumerist message that must give her business managers some sleepless nights. Come on, Kate, reconsider.

Buy Louboutin shoes really cheap

Cool website I found today for Christian Louboutin shoes:

http://www.christianlouboutin86.com/

Christian Louboutin shoes

Christian Louboutin is named after a famous French shoe designer.
Louboutin’s red sole is a distinct symbol of its design. The designer was inspired to paint the sole of his shoe red after seeing an assistant painting her nails (red) while he was working on a shoe design. He immediately seized the bottle of nail polish and painted it directly on to the sole of the (prototype) shoe. Being pleased with the effect, he originally planned to paint all of his shoes with different coloured soles; however, after seeing the popularity of the red soled shoe he abandoned this idea, and allowed the red sole to become his signature.
The sharp heel and slashed-out with a red line is other two characters of Christian Louboutin. The style of the brand is becoming very popular and taking the lead in fashion!!
Celebrities ranging from Patti LaBelle to Carrie Hoff to Angelina Jolie, Anggun to Mariah Carey are also fans of Christian Louboutin shoes and many celebrities are now choosing his shoes as their red carpet accessories. Patti LaBelle signed an endorsement contract with the company to wear their shoes during her concerts and on the red carpet. Her favorite are the Diamond Encrusted pumps. Angelina Jolie has favored his designs on almost all red carpet appearances. In her movie ’Wanted’, Angelina Jolie dons a pair as the assassin ’Fox’, these beige round-toed Louboutins are from her personal collection. Kylie Minogue wore Christian Louboutin shoes in her "2 Hearts" video, the distinctive soles are plainly visible when she dances on the piano. Britney Spears has been spotted wearing Louboutin shoes while clubbing in Los Angeles and at various court dates for her custody battle. Christina Aguilera is also a fan of Louboutin’s creations, often seen wearing them to events, and during her recent Back To Basics tour. Madonna wore Christian’s black patent leather studded mary-janes in her Live Earth performance. Japanese pop star Ayumi Hamasaki is also a fan of the brand, seen wearing platform peep-toe Louboutins in basic colors such as nude and black, as well as rhinestone pumps in a photo shoot for Sweet magazine, also Japanese jazz singer Shiina Ringo was noticed to wear a significant number of Louboutins during the promotion of her band’s CD Variety. Louboutin also designed shoes for hit pop sensation Mika which he wore at his July 4,2008, show at Parc des Princes. In a episode of Cribs UK, Danielle Lloyd shows of her many styles of Louboutin’s shoes. Leigh Lezark and Rachel Bilson are also known fans of Christian Louboutin.

Valentino: the fashion designer

During his nearly half-century career, the recently retired Valentino Garavani never skimped on his personal expenses, nor did he ever expect his customers to. Among his friends he counted princesses (Margaret) and movie stars (Elizabeth)—and his friends, inevitably, were his clients.

A virtuoso with delicate lace and chiffon, Valentino created a brand of glamour that was, and remains, all about opulent femininity. He championed alta moda for over 40 years—long after many houses had given up the couture ghost—and practically owned the color red. What does it tell you that both Jacqueline Onassis and Jennifer Lopez were married in gowns designed by the maestro?

Born in Italy in 1932, Valentino moved to Paris at 17. After working with Jean Dessès and Guy Laroche, he returned home in 1960 to set up his own atelier in Rome. There he partnered (professionally and personally) with Giancarlo Giammetti, who oversaw the financial end of the business. It was to prove one of fashion's most enduringly successful relationships.

Valentino's first major show, in 1962 at the Pitti Palace in Florence, announced his arrival on the international scene. Six years later, his Collezione Bianca made a monochrome splash and, with the unveiling of the house's now iconic "V" logo, paved the way for a global obsession with expensive initials. Valentino the man was almost as famous for his lifestyle as for his ravishing red-carpet gowns: He kept a 152-foot yacht kitted out with Picassos and four flat-screen televisions, and was reported to travel with a retinue that included a butler and six pugs.

France, in gratitude for Valentino's services to haute couture, honored him with the ultimate compliment in 2006: He was made a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur. The designer celebrated the 45th anniversary of his career in 2007 with a three-day blowout in Rome; shortly thereafter, he announced his retirement. Alessandra Facchinetti—who had some prior experience with shoe-filling, having briefly stepped into Tom Ford's loafers at Gucci—was named Valentino's successor. After two ready-to-wear seasons and mostly positive reviews, she was replaced by the house's longtime accessory designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. The label's new owner, Permira, hopes to capitalize on the ten years the duo spent working at Valentino's side.

Dolce and Gabbana

From leopard underwear to the black corset sheath, Dolce & Gabbana has been known for flash and fetishism since bursting onto the international scene in the late eighties. It's no wonder pop princesses Kylie Minogue and Beyoncé wear Dolce & Gabbana on and off the stage and Madonna enlisted the boys to design more than 1,500 costumes for her 1993 Girlie Show Tour. But that Italian va-va-voom has always been underpinned by immaculate tailoring, and over the last couple of seasons, the duo has been intent on revealing a more sophisticated soul.

Co-founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana met in Milan in 1980 while working for the designer Giorgio Correggiari. Dolce, the son of a Sicilian tailor, had attended fashion school briefly, while Gabbana, the son of a Milanese factory worker, had trained as a graphic designer. Combining Dolce's tailoring chops with Gabbana's eye for outré styling, the men teamed up (in both personal and professional lives), debuting their first collection to critical acclaim in 1986. The label has been expanding ever since, with knits, swimwear, lingerie, fragrance, accessories, menswear, a junior line, and the youthful, lower-priced D&G all in the mix.

Though Dolce and Gabbana parted ways as a couple in 2003, they continue to work side by side as business partners. And they continue to extend their reach—now branching out into "lifestyle" enterprises, including a restaurant called Gold that opened in 2006 and a theater and event space called Metropol, in their home city of Milan.

The Most Expensive Louis Vuitton Bag

The Louis Vuitton Company is well known for their luxury fashion and leather goods. Founded in 1854 by its luggage-designing namesake, the company has, for most of its existence, catered to the wealthiest clientele by employing famous models and A-list celebrities in their marketing campaigns.

In early 2007, Louis Vuitton released their most expensive handbag, the Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork Bag. The bags, as the title suggests, were made of samples of different Louis Vuitton bags. The fifteen bags used come from the LV spring/summer and cruise lines. The gold chain shoulder strap makes this the perfect handbag for the discerning 90s rapper while the patchwork nature of the purse itself suggests that the person owning it may have a rusted truck propped up on cinder blocks in their front yard. Needless to say, the limited edition purse sold out almost immediately.

Louis Vuitton made twenty-four numbered copies of their most expensive handbags, priced at $45,000. A collection of denim patchwork bags, retailing for around $3,000-$5,000, followed shortly on the heels of the LV Tribute Patchwork Bag. As with any Louis Vuitton accessory, a counterfeit can be had for just a few hundred bucks.
In case you were wondering, Hermés Birkin still holds the record for the most expensive purse. At $64,800, their offering easily beats the LV Tribute Patchwork Bag.

The Most Expensive Jeans

The popular worker’s denim trousers have become modern day fashion and status symbols. Designer jeans come in and out of popularity but in early 2000’s, expensive jeans started coming back into fashion with brands such as APO Jeans, Chip and Pepper, Paper Denim & Cloth, Seven for All Mankind, True Religion and many other brands costing $200 or more per pair.
The Guinness Book of Records lists a pair of Gucci genius jeans featuring elaborate feathers, beads, rips and buttons as most expensive jeans off-the-rack at a cost of $3,134.
But recently Forbes has showcased Escada’s Swarovski crystal-encrusted expensive jeans which sell for $10,000 US.
Levi Strauss Company bid $46,532 to buy a pair of their own brand jeans back on the popular auction site eBay. The most expensive jeans were an average pair manufacturered in the 1880s and Levi’s must have considered them a historical brand artifact.

Most Expensive Lighter

French luxury firm S. T. Dupont—no relation to the chemical company—has been dealing in extravagance since 1872, when it was founded by Simon Tissot Dupont. Recently, for instance, they created a line of accessories inspired by the 2006 James Bond film, Casino Royale. This year, they’ve produced the world’s most expensive lighter.

Part of the company’s Prestige Collection, the Ligne 2 lighter comes in four distinct varieties. While the solid gold, white gold and the “Rose” pink gold and diamond lighters are all exquisite in their own ways, the Ligne 2 Champagne is truly exceptional. Made of 18-karat white gold and decorated with 462 diamonds (5.2 carats) of GVS quality, the Ligne 2 Champagne positively glitters with excess.

The most expensive lighter in the world can be had for $79,000. Its companion piece, a pen with another 502 diamonds, commands a mere $74,000 price tag.

Controversy Alert: Lohan’s Tanning Mist Recipe Called into Question

The tanning mist formula for Lindsay Lohan’s new product, Sevin Nyne, has been called into question!!

Sevin Nyne is currently available exclusively at Sephora, and has been pitched as a creative collaboration between Lohan and celebrity airbrush tanner, Lorit Simon’s company Lorit, LLC. Their claim was that they brought a LUX tanning mist that was once only available to Lorit’s celebrity clients, and now to the public! Although, this is exactly what is being challenged…

I have tried every tanning product on the market and worked with the best tanners in the business. When Lorit and I met, we thought it would be great to bring a quality product at a reasonable price to the market so everyone could enjoy a professional spray tan,” Lohan said, via Arizona Foothills Magazine

Jennifer Sunday has filed a formal lawsuit in Federal Court Tampa, FL claiming that she pitched the tanning mist formula to the Lohan camp earlier this year and both parties were on the verge of closing a deal—in the end, negotiations were terminated when they couldn’t agree on final terms.

Sunday alleged that the final product contains ‘exactly the same or nearly identical ingredients” as her creation and that Lohan has publically taken credit for the formula. –via WWD.com

Both parties had signed a confidential agreement and Sunday is suing for ‘breach of contract, theft of trade secrets and conspiracy.’

The actual manufacture of the Sevin Nyne product, United 1 International Laboratories LLC, is speaking up against the allegations and denying the claims on behalf of the Lohan.

The president, George Mitchell states, “when requested to help develop the formula for Sevin Nyne with Lorit LLC, I did so using my expertise and was not provided with any formulas or trade secrets by Loritt LLC or anyone involved in or related to the Sevin Nyne product.” —via

A Child’s Miracle Healing: Heart Transplant Recipient Self-Heals

when I first heard this story, I just had to share it with you all!! This is a beautiful tale of how a miracle occurred for this spirited British teen, Hannah Clark, who as a child was a heart transplant recipient, and the wondrous healing abilities the human body is capable of demonstrating.

In 1995, at the tender age of two, British doctors were faced with the challenge to create a solution to best address Hannah’s failing heart. Her case was unique and the top cardiologists suggested they graft a 5-month-old donor heart directly onto her own. This added heart was like an extra ‘engine’ in a car that helped to assist Hannah in living a normal, healthy life.

During the long journey, a very surprising discovery was made. After five years of the second heart being implanted, it was realized that her original heart had actually healed itself to the point where the implant could be removed at the 10-year mark! That’s right LUXies, the original problem or malfunction was completely gone! Definitely something that falls into the category of ‘miracle’ and was also seen as impossible up until this point.

“This shows that the heart can indeed repair itself if given the opportunity,” said Dr. Douglas Zipes, a past president of the American College of Cardiology. Zipes was not linked to Clark’s treatment or to the Lancet paper. “The heart apparently has major regenerative powers, and it is now key to find out how they work.”

The most impactful fact here is that our bodies, especially our hearts are much more hearty to challenge then previously expected. Doctors continue to study her case to find how this could help other heart transplant patients in the future.

We are happy to report that this tale of heartache, perseverance, will, and magnificent miracles has a happy ending! Hannah’s battle of strength and courage has brought her to a place of normalcy in her life. She is now 16, healthy and thriving and is even taking up normal teenage activities like sports and even enjoys a part-time job!!

Most Expensive Colleges in the US

If you’re looking for a place to send your child when they graduate high school and you don’t want to send them to some bargain bin university, you need look no further than these—the top five most expensive universities in the United States.

Connecticut College – $49,385
Connecticut College began its life in 1911 as a response to Wesleyan University’s decision to stop admitting women. As such, men were not admitted to the university for over 50 years. Today, Connecticut College is known for the opportunities it provides to study abroad as well as its situation by the Thames River (not to be mistaken for London’s famous stream) and its wooded campus.

Georgetown University – $49,689
This Jesuit private university was founded in 1789 by Father John Carroll who had been appointed by Pope Pius VI as the first head of the Catholic Church in America. The university has educated various heads of state, including His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of Jordan, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of the Philippines and former US president Bill Clinton.

New York University – $50,182
Founded in 1831, NYU was established by a group of New York City residents, including founder and Secretary of Treasury (under Thomas Jefferson) Albert Gallatin, who wanted the university’s admittance to be based on merit rather than social status or birthright. Today, New York University is the largest private, nonprofit university in the United States.

George Washington University – $50,312
Located four blocks from the White House, George Washington University—known for its undergraduate liberal arts programs and its graduate programs in social sciences, international affairs, law, et cetera—was originally funded by a stipulation in George Washington’s will that fifty shares of the Potomac Company be used to support his long-held desire that the District of Columbia should be home to such an institution. While the shares didn’t turn out to be worth much, Washington’s wishes were eventually carried out by Baptist minister Luther Rice, who purchased land on Meridian Hill for the project. The university was founded in 1821, just twenty-two years after Washington’s death.

Sarah Lawrence College – $53,166
The most expensive university in the United States is also the youngest institution on this list. It was founded as a women’s college in 1926 and didn’t start accepting men until 1968. The college was founded by William Van Duzer Lawrence, a real-estate mogul. It carries the name of Lawrence’s wife, Sarah. Sarah Lawrence College was the first liberal arts institution in the US to take the progressive approach to education in the arts. Students at Sarah Lawrence have been known since the 30s for their political activism and that tradition continues to this day with involvement in the sexual rights movement and organizations responding to the war in Iraq.

Most Expensive Dress Shirt!

They say the clothes make the man. That’s probably less true today than when you could tell a man’s occupation by the hat he wore, but if it’s true of anything then it’s true of the world’s most expensive shirt.

Swedish shirt-making company Eton, celebrating their 80th birthday, created this shirt out of the finest Egyptian cotton. Of course, it couldn’t be the most expensive shirt in the world without a few diamonds. Both the studs and the cufflinks are encrusted with diamonds—white diamonds on the cufflinks and colored diamonds on the studs.

As if that isn’t enough, the dress shirt will be touring the world before it’s sold at auction next year. The luxurious shirt will make stops in Milan, LA, Stockholm and a few other places with Eton stores.
The most expensive shirt is valued at £23,000 (over $45,000). Proceeds from its sale will go to charity.

Chopard’s $25 million watch?

Yes, you read that right: twenty-five million dollars. This gaudy timepiece by Chopard is adorned with three heart-shaped diamonds—a 15-carat pink diamond, a 12-carat blue diamond and an 11-carat white diamond. For good measure, they threw in 163 carats of white and yellow diamonds to bring the total to 201 carats of diamonds. The result is something that looks rather like a geode that’s been turned inside out and dipped in lemon Kool-Aid. Add to that the fact that the size of the watch’s face must make telling time into a fun game of Where’s Waldo and you’ll see that Chopard has truly created a recipe for success.
Of course, its $25 million price tag guarantees its place as the world’s most expensive watch for years to come.

Do you know ROBERTO CAVALLI?

Roberto Cavalli (born 1940, Florence) designs some of the most glamorous clothes in fashion: baroque combinations of exotic feathers, overblown florals, animal prints and incredibly lightweight leathers comprise the signature Cavalli look for day or night, which is always shown on his Milan runway atop the highest heels and with the biggest, blow-dried hair in the city. In winter collections, fur - the more extravagant the better - is dominant.

And to think it all started on a ping-pong table. This is where, as a student at Florence's Academy of Art, Cavalli first began to experiment with printing on leather, later patenting a similar technique. The son of a tailor and the grandson of a revered painter (of the Macchiaioli movement), Cavalli is an expert embellisher and decorator of textiles.

After founding his own fashion company in the early '60s, Cavalli was one of the first to put leather on a catwalk, patchworking it together for his debut show in 1972, which was staged at the Palazzo Pitti in Florence. Cavalli was an outsider to high fashion during the '80s, but staged a remarkable comeback in the '90s. In this renaissance period, Cavalli has become the label of choice among the R&B aristocracy, not to mention any starlet with both the bravado and the body to carry off one of his attention-seeking frocks.

Assisted by his second wife Eva Duringer, a former Miss Universe, Cavalli brought his distinctive look - a unique combination of thrusting sex appeal, artisanal prints and frankly eccentric themes and catwalk shows - to the Milan collections, where press and clients alike received him with open arms. The collections bearing his name now include Just Cavalli, a menswear line, a childrenswear line and perfume licences, among others. In 2003 his company scored a turnover of ˆ 289 million and its collections are distributed in over 30 countries. Cavalli also owns one of Italy's best racehorse stud farms.

Top Ten Fashion Designers

1.VALENTINO GARAVANI. Hailing from Voghera Italy, this man knows how to make a woman look like a goddess. Though his shows speak for themself, the one place you are sure to find a Valentino dress is on the red carpet. Having dressed many of the world's most famous leading ladies (such as Julia Roberts and Elizabeth Taylor), he has proven his talent and risen to the top as (in my opinion) The King of Elegance.

2.TOM FORD is not only extremely talented, but he's hot too. Born in Texas, Tom originally trained to be an actor! Can you believe that? Thank goodness we pulled him over to the good side (kidding). But really, this man is not only the Creative Director for Gucci, he's also the Creative Director fro Yves Saint Laurent. Ford stole the show at the first ever VH1 Fashion Awards and won the Best International Designer Award in 2000.

3.DONATELLA VERSACE, while a little flamboyant herself, is still one of fashions most loved divas. Born in Calabria Italy, she graciously took over her late brother Gianni Versace's already flawless design house. By following in his footsteps, and having just as much passion for the industry as her brother, Donatella has become know for her sexy yet elegant designs.

4.ALEXANDER MCQUEEN is one of the worlds most innovative and outstanding couturiers. Known for his theatrical influence, his creations are not only beautiful but also colorful and raw.

5.BETSEY JOHNSON. Her designs are brilliant, bold and fun. They are funky and edgy, with a lifetime of flare. Straight from the American fashion capital [New York] Betsey is known for "her celebration of the exuberant".

6.RALPH LAUREN. He could possibly be the king of ready-to wear. When anyone mentions Ralph you know they have a deep love for fashion. Ralph Lauren studied business science and even served his time in the army. Known for dressing the most beautiful in the "prep" world, his lines now include Polo Ralph Lauren, Polo Sport, and the Ralph Lauren collections.

7.JOHN GALLIANO graduated from London's St. Martins College of Art & Design in 1983. With help from friends and loved ones, Galliano put on his first show in 1984. Creating designs with a historical influence, he has worked hard to gain the title of Chief Designer at Givenchy and the House of Christian Dior prize at LVMH.

8.DOMENICO DOLCE & STEFANO GABBANA. Here are two household names. I'm rather sure that almost every woman and man in the fashion world has some piece by these two geniuses. Every woman who wears D&G can be sure to feel sexy and confident. They both hail from Italy, and are known for making the "stars look like Stars".

9.MARC JACOBS is another one of those incredibly talented designers who makes everyone who wears his clothing feel like they are the cutting edge of fashion. This year his collection showcased a series of 60's housewife inspired dresses that were not only cute but also incredibly feminine. This one is one of my personal faves.

10.STELLA MCCARTNEY. I think the name says it all, but being the new girl on the block, we definitely have to give her credit. While being the daughter of a superstar, Stella has managed to carve a huge place for herself in the fashion world. And we love her for it. Her clothes are the height of class and speak volumes of her personal talent.

Well, that's it for this girls top ten. Now believe me, this list doesn't even touch the amount of talent out there. But really, who does decide this stuff? In all honesty, everyone has a taste all of their won in the fashion industry and that makes us all contributors to the fame and success of any fashion designer. It's people like you who really make or break this industry, so be proud.

The most Expensive Shampoo

We’ve already told you about the world’s most expensive soap, but that isn’t going to do anything for your hair. After all, why pay top dollar for soap and leave your hair at the mercy of an inferior product? Enter Alterna Ten, the world’s most expensive shampoo.

Alterna Ten contains exotic ingredients including African cacao extract, caviar age-control complex, photozyme complex with “color hold,” white truffle oil, Champagne grape seed oil, Bulgarian Evening Primrose and Arabian Frankincense. The shampoo is inspired by enzyme therapy, a process that uses enzyme supplements to treat conditions from digestive problems to cancer.

The world’s most expensive shampoo retails for around $60 for an 8.5 oz bottle. A shampoo and conditioner set may be priced over $400.

The Most Expensive Soap!

If you can’t stand using the same soap as the plebeian hordes, then Plank—a producer of yoga-themed products—has the soap for you. It’s called Cor and it’s the world’s most expensive soap.

Among its ingredients, Cor has chitosan to even out skin tone, sericin—a silk extract—to trap moisture and provide UV protection and four types of collagen to help maintain skin structure. Silver, a known antibacterial agent, is what makes Cor the most expensive soap in the world.

On the other hand, it’s questionable (at best) that any of that crap can really help your skin. Chitosan and sericin will rinse right off and collagen is more useful in deeper layers of skin. The silver is, of course, proven, but there are much cheaper antibacterial soaps out there.

Cor retails for $125 for a 120 gram bar.

Jake Gyllenhaal the muscleman?

Jake Gyllenhaal joining now the long-haired hunks with epically pumped pecs in epic pics comes...See Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia!

We can barely look away from EW's "first look" sneak pics—but instead of drooling, we can't stop giggling. Beefcaked within an inch of his life, Jakey looks like one of the animatronics from someGladiator theme park ride—or like he's on the way to a Purim costume party with Dem and Ashton.

So, yeah. We aren't buying this rough-and-tough Gyllenhaal. We much prefer him toned down, all sleek and sensitive. (Though we bet Reese sure doesn't.) I mean, come on, it looks just so, well...gay, right?

What do you think?
